My favourite websites:

Here are some of the websites/blogs that have saved my frazzled brain...
This gives you abit of an idea about what I'm into, the kind of parent I aspire to be and possibly where this blog is headed :)

Early Mornings

My favourite thing in the world at the moment is our morning routine...if DS wakes at quater to 7 as he did this morning, completely soaked through his nappy...this is not a rare occurance (Love cloth haha!) he gets changed we feed the pets mummy has a quater of a grapefruit & a cup of tea, River has some floor time while I do some form of list making/wedding planning/washing/work then when he gets tired again we pop back into bed for a feed & sleep! Sometimes I'm lazy and will feed him before we get up then meaning cuddles & often some protesting to get back to the land of nod...but on these mornings where theres no gym, no uni, no DH, no sister...we just relax, rest and bond :) It will be interesting (sad?) to loose this on the few mornings I go back to work.
WHY do I feed or cuddle my baby to sleep? Because I want to create an environment where he feels like his every need is immediately met. The hormones from breastfeeding help us both get to sleep and feel serene. It makes me a better mother and him a happier baby. It doesnt work for everyone and people are quick to jump in and tell me all about the negative consequences of "coddling" a child....haha yes, but of course a 6month old is manipulating me if he doesnt want to fall asleep when I tell him to...hmmm!! It is no use explaining or justifying the benefits, that attatched children grow up to be more independent and secure in themselves is debatable to non-attachment parents and thats fine, at the end of the day this works for us, for my family, and I cherish these precious moments.

Wedding Planning, Dance & Babies...a typical November haha

So, here is the run down of the next few weeks: I run a small dance school and our end of year performance is this friday...obviously I could not put on a show without the help of my delightful teachers, our dj, and all the family and friends that pitch in on the day...but it is SO much work and so much choreography, costumes and organising!! That aside, the dance school where I train is having its end of year performance the following weekend so I have been at rehearsal after rehearsal and my body is so bruised and wrecked, thank goodness for a chiropractic appointment tomorrow I love you C, and my darling trainer with her magic massaging hands!
Our wedding is in feb. A mere three months away...so the planning of our special day has begun. This means, bookings, payments, loosing weight and making things special. A blessing on this front is our event manager, check out http://www.blankcanvascreative.com.au/ for gorgeous, professional service.
To add to the mix I am returning to work as a personal trainer. In december...am I crazy anyone in the industry may ask...slightly, yes. But I will round up some serious clients and hopefully help them become the best version of themself! Some income also wouldnt hurt...
How do I get all of this done before Christmas with a six month old who has just started solids...?! I'm not entirely sure, but as if you dont want to follow this and find out!

My first foray into blogging

Ok guys HI :)
I am slightly computer illiterate...so this may take a while to set up and become consistent...I dont know much about blogging, there are so many decisions to make!
Shall I remain annonymous? Shall I keep my friends annonymous? Do I have to fabricate stories to protect hurt feelings when I need to rant?! Currently my thinking is...to hell with it all I wear my heart on my sleeve, I can blog like a diary, rest assured I will post at least weekly and there may indeed be juicy content.
For those of you who dont know me, I am 24yrs, a mumma of DS (dear son) and soon to wed my sexy hunk o'man as of now referred to as DH (dear hubby...bear with me I'm getting used to the lingo). I am passionate about dancing, the environment (yes expect some tree hugging blogs), vegetarianism, the beach, parenting (haha expect some controversy here!) and obviously health, nutrition and fitness. My friends are VERY important to me - yes they will remain mostly annonymous, and I dont mind my family...much!
Of course I have an ulterior motive for blogging my inner monologue...I want to write for magazines. I want to be the "expert" on pregnancy, nutrition and fitness...hopefully with my own "Ask Sarah" piece...anyway there it is. That is where I want to be in 5years (surrounded by babies of course!).
Feel free to ask me anything, to critique anything...I apologise in advance for my spelling errors, my brain thinks faster than my fingers can type.
